Lambda256 to Demonstrate AI-Powered Cross-Chain Fund Tracing at KPEX 2026

Lambda256 will present CLAIR Investigation, its digital asset tracing solution, at the International Police Expo Korea 2026 (KPEX 2026), held at Songdo Convensia in Incheon from October 21 to 24. Throughout the event, we will run live demos at our booth and share how the same technology supports anti-money laundering (AML) work at financial institutions.
Illicit funds move in minutes
Lambda256 CTO Kihoon Nam will present a case study of last month's Bitget hack. According to CLAIR's trace, the stolen funds reached a decentralized bridge that does not accept blocking requests within 57 minutes of being split across wallets.
Once funds leave the exchanges and stablecoin issuers that can freeze them, recovery becomes far more difficult. The time it takes to trace a fund flow directly affects whether a freeze is still possible.
How CLAIR Investigation works
CLAIR Investigation is designed for compliance and investigation teams that need to follow funds across chains without switching between block explorers.
- Starts from a single suspicious wallet address and shows the full fund flow across multiple blockchains on one tracing map
- Keeps the trace connected when funds move through bridges or decentralized exchanges (DEXs)
- Uses AI to analyze bridges and DEXs it has not seen before, adding them to tracing after analyst approval
- Automatically interprets more than 90% of bridge transaction volume and 86% of DEX transaction volume
- Compiles results and underlying transactions into a report that supports withdrawal-hold decisions and suspicious transaction report (STR) reviews
- Can be installed inside an institution's internal network, where AI analysis also runs internally and query records stay in-house
What it means for financial institutions
Lambda256 is already working with Korean financial institutions on digital asset technology validation, including a settlement off-ramp and AML verification project with K bank and KSNET launched this year.
"Existing AML systems were built around accounts, which makes it hard to follow fund flows that move across chains," said Kihoon Nam, CTO at Lambda256. "CLAIR uses ontology technology to connect transaction records that differ by chain into a single flow, cutting analysis time so financial institutions can act before funds are out of reach."
CLAIR's tracing engine is used by investigative and public agencies in more than 10 countries.
