Under a strategic agreement, Lambda256 will collaborate with KSNET on evaluating stablecoin payment infrastructure for use within South Korea’s domestic payment environment and broader Web3 applications.

The agreement was signed on February 3 at KSNET’s headquarters in Seoul. Following the signing, proof-of-concept initiatives focused on stablecoin-based payment systems will formally begin. These initiatives will assess the feasibility of stablecoin payment models by leveraging KSNET’s online and offline payment network alongside Lambda256’s blockchain infrastructure capabilities.
Under the agreement, Lambda256 will design on-chain payment workflows and operate blockchain node infrastructure centered on SCOPE, its stablecoin issuance and management platform. Based on its experience operating blockchain nodes for centralized exchanges and financial environments, Lambda256 will support technical validation during the PoC phase while considering stability and scalability in the payment structure design.
KSNET operates a nationwide payment infrastructure across VAN and PG services and provides payment services to enterprise and institutional clients in aviation, retail, distribution, healthcare, and the public sector. Its client base includes Korean Air, Olive Young, and Adidas. Through this collaboration, KSNET will examine the applicability of stablecoin payment models by integrating blockchain technology into existing large-scale payment environments.
Lambda256 recently became the first blockchain infrastructure provider in South Korea to obtain SOC 2 Type II certification, formally validating its ability to operate blockchain infrastructure services that meet the standards expected in financial and enterprise environments. Building on this foundation, Lambda256 plans to expand its stablecoin-related collaborations across the Asia-Pacific region, supporting institutions with infrastructure designed to align with financial-sector requirements.
“Working with KSNET represents an important reference case for evaluating how blockchain technology can be applied within large-scale, real-world payment infrastructure,” said Charles Chung, CEO of Lambda256. “With our infrastructure already proven in financial and enterprise environments, Lambda256 will keep building the foundation that helps stablecoin payments and Web3 businesses scale reliably across APAC.”
